• Come enjoy a fantastic weekend full of friends, food, feathers and fun. We will meet Friday at Log Cabin Escape and enjoy a true Texas steak dinner. You will relax around the fire while dinner is prepared and have tantalizing conversation around the dinner table. Saturday morning light bites will be available and we will travel 20 minutes to meet our amazing guide Todd and spend the morning hunting beautiful pheasant. Charcuterie lunch will be served in the field before returning to the Cabin to clean our harvest. Enjoy the fruits of our harvest while learning the nuisances of cooking roasted pheasant with sides. Sunday before departure we will gather in the kitchen and move from upland birds to land game such as deer and enjoy a breakfast of venison tacos.

  Caney Outfitters (Pheasant Guide w/bird dogs). Todd Simonson, owner of Caney Outfitters. Offering Professional "Fast Flying Action Packed Upland Gamebird Hunting Service". Caney Outfitters raises Ringneck Pheasants and Bobwhite Quail. Personally I oversee the bird operation from collecting eggs, incubating, hatching and raising both Ringnecks and Bobwhites. From the Hatchers to the grow pens and finally to the flight pens. My long term goal is to raise 10K Ringnecks and 5K Bobwhites and continue the habitat and ground cover for the population of the Upland Birds. As well the ambition to continue providing the best and fastest flying birds in the business!!! #1 for me is the customer ....   We will be staying at the Log Cabin Escape. The cabin is fully furnished.There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms with three king beds (sleep 6 total). If you don’t want to share a bedroom bring an air mattress or cot or can sleep on the sofa or recliners. Nancy is the hostess with the mostest. Her cabin is beautiful, and her hospitality is as awesome as her cabin is. She might even surprise us with warm chocolate chip cookies, too!

ITINERARY

Friday check in at 4PM

Friday evening gun check, gun fitting, safety briefing

Saturday 6:15AM leave the cabin to hunt

Saturday afternoon, return to cabin

Sunday morning, check out by 11am.

YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE

• 10-Day Commercial Hunt Area License ($5) purchased from the State of Oklahoma for Pheasant Hunt

• Hunters Ed Certification (MUST)

• Firearms Shotgun (20g or 12g) If you are shooting a semi or pump, a gun sling would be good since there is a lot of walking. An O/U can be broken and propped on your shoulder. Bring any tools that came with your gun with you in case adjustments need to be made. Light mod choke, mod will be fine as well

• Ammo (#6 or #7.5)

• Processing knives/knife sharpeners

• Hunting gear-dress accordingly-warm clothes, warm beanie cap is recommended

• Comfortable shoes/boots (lots of walking involved)

• Orange vest (MUST)

• Drinks, food, snacks

• Ice chest to bring game home

• Toiletries

• BYOB 21+ must be responsible
