RAM HUNT

DATE: October 27-29, 2023 (Check in 4 PM or after CST Friday, Check out by 12PM CST Sunday)

LOCATION: Benavides, Texas

COST: $440 ($170 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT) Remainder of $270 and gratuity due at time of departure to guides and ranch owner. Hunt includes lodging NOT food/drinks.

  • Rifle or bow hunt, mentors/guides available (will cape/quarter harvest)

  • 2 Nights Lodging,

  • 1½ Days of hunting –  1 Ram (cost includes cape/quarter fee)
    Fully Guided Hunt / Safari Style, Spot & Stalk

  • Choose from 4 species of ram:
    Texas Dall, Corsican, Black Hawaiian, Painted Desert

    Rams will average ½ curl to ¾ curl

4PM or after: Check in.

SATURDAY

Morning: Hunt

Evening: Hunt

SUNDAY

Morning Hunt if necessary

Mid morning to Noon: Depart and head for home.

ABOUT Tatonka Creek Ranch

  • The ranch is nestled in the legendary rugged brush country of South Texas near the little town of Benavides.  Located in Duval county and a convenient drive from Corpus Christi, San Antonio and Houston, Tatonka Creek is the perfect place to disconnect and truly escape everyday life. While hunting there you will see many species of wildlife from Europe, India, Asia, Africa and of course our beautiful Texas!

  • Bighorn Lodge has been newly renovated with all the comforts of home. It’s “your home away from home in the woods!” It includes a complete indoor kitchen / outdoor grill, multiple bathrooms with tiled showers and living room with satellite tv.

  • Next to Bighorn Lodge, hunters can practice their shooting skills at “Chief Eagle Eyes Gun Range.” During the day in between hunts, guests can stroll over to “Geronimo’s Fishing Hole” and try their luck with the catfish and perch. Catch and Release only.

WILL NEED TO PROVIDE

  • A valid Texas hunting license/hunter safety certification

  • A previously sighted-in scoped rifle/ammo or bow/arrows. (We can help you find the caliber you need! Recommended .223 or larger caliber)

  • Bedding (sheets are provided)

  • Drinks, food, and snacks (we can meal plan as it gets closer)

  • Hunting gear, camo or dark clothing preferred to blend into your blind or cover.

  • Ice chest for meat if wanting to take meat home

  • Toiletries
